AIDOL is a bipedal humanoid developed by the Russian lab of the same name (AI Dynamic Organism Lab). It is marketed as Russia's first anthropomorphic robot with advanced AI, designed for both service and industrial applications. Standing 186 cm tall and weighing 95 kg, it features a highly expressive face with 19 servomotors capable of mimicking human micro-expressions.
The robot's architecture supports fully offline operation, processing dialogue and perception locally on its GPU module for privacy and reliability. It has 67 degrees of freedom and can manipulate objects up to 10kg. A standout feature is its 3D sound mapping capability using seven microphones for precise auditory interaction.
AIDOL gained international attention during a viral demonstration in late 2025 where it lost balance on stage, a moment the company transparently embraced as part of the live 'real-time training' process inherent to developing complex bipedal locomotion. The lab aims to increase domestic component production to over 90% for future iterations.
