Borg 01

The Borg 01 from Detroit-based Borg Robotics is an industrial humanoid designed for flexibility in manufacturing and warehousing. Its standout feature is its modular mobility system, capable of autonomously switching between bipedal walking and a wheeled base depending on the terrain and speed requirements of its current task.

Standing 173 cm tall and weighing 62 kg, the Borg 01 is sized to work in narrow aisles and crowded factory floors. It features a quick-change end-effector system, allowing it to swap between vacuum grippers, mechanical claws, or five-fingered hands in seconds. This adaptability enables it to handle widely varying payloads up to 12 kg.

Scheduled for commercial launch in 2025, the Borg 01 is designed to integrate with Borg Robotics' broader automation ecosystem, including autonomous pallet jacks. Its AI systems allow it to adapt to existing workflows without requiring facility modifications, targeting the labor shortages in American manufacturing and logistics sectors.
