About HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal

Humanoid's HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal stands 179 cm tall with 29 degrees of freedom (excluding hands), representing the company's entry into the bipedal humanoid race after establishing the wheeled Alpha variant. The bipedal configuration targets industrial applications requiring human-like mobility through complex environments.

The Alpha Bipedal offers 15 kg dual-handed payload capacity with optional 12-DOF dexterous hands or simpler grippers depending on application requirements. The 3-hour runtime, while shorter than some competitors' 4-8 hours, reflects the higher energy demands of bipedal locomotion. The platform runs on NVIDIA Jetson Thor for on-device AI processing.

Powered by a proprietary operating system with full ROS2 compatibility, the Alpha Bipedal enables AI-driven navigation through indoor SLAM, visual SLAM, and LiDAR mapping. The comprehensive sensor array includes RGB and stereo cameras, LiDAR, ultrasonic sensors, IMU, gyroscope, and force sensors for environmental awareness and safe human interaction.

Developed by the same team that built the original HMND 01 in just seven months, the Alpha Bipedal benefits from Humanoid's experienced workforce including alumni from Apple, Tesla, Google, Boston Dynamics, Sanctuary AI, and NVIDIA. The platform targets industrial automation scenarios requiring bipedal mobility, navigating stairs, stepping over obstacles, and accessing spaces designed for human workers rather than wheeled robots.
