About AI Worker

ROBOTIS' AI Worker represents South Korea's push into humanoid robotics, unveiled at Japanese exhibitions to showcase the company's physical AI technology. As LG Electronics' second-largest shareholder investment, ROBOTIS brings decades of servo motor and actuator expertise to humanoid development.

The AI Worker is a semi-humanoid robot powered by ROBOTIS DYNAMIXEL actuators delivering high torque and precise motion to dual 7-DOF arms and dexterous grippers. A rich sensor suite. RGB-D cameras, LiDAR, force-torque sensors that feeds real-time perception to an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin running advanced AI at the edge. The platform rolls on a compact swerve-drive base with native ROS 2 support and open control stack.

The AI Worker learns through demonstration: engineers perform tasks while imitation-learning algorithms capture sequences, then reinforcement learning refines performance to expert level. Applications span intricate wiring-harness assembly to precision welding and visual inspection, executing skills with millimeter accuracy and 24/7 stamina.

Three solution levels address different capability requirements. Level 1 focuses on cost-efficient AI manipulation, while Level 3 delivers full semi-humanoid two-handed manipulation with imitation learning and free policy training. Partnerships with CJ Korea Express and BGF Retail validate commercial readiness. In November 2024, ROBOTIS partnered with MIT to develop "Physical AI" supported by KIAT and Korea's Ministry of Trade, positioning AI Worker at the forefront of embodied intelligence research.
