Wheeled humanoid with WALL-A operations model unifying perception, understanding and control for single-policy task operation.
X Square Robot's QUANTA X2 is a wheeled humanoid that secured $140 million in Series A++ funding led by Alibaba. One of the largest investments in Chinese humanoid robotics. Standing 172 cm tall and weighing 95 kg, the QUANTA X2 features an impressive 62 degrees of freedom throughout its body, with 7-DOF arms and 20-DOF dexterous hands.
The robot's precision is exceptional: ±0.03 mm end precision with sub-millimeter repeatability for delicate manipulation tasks. Each arm supports a 6 kg payload with approximately 75 cm reach, while tactile sensing in the five-fingered hands enables nuanced object handling. The mobile base provides smooth navigation at speeds up to 1 m/s with 15-degree climbing capability and a 0-2 meter work range.
QUANTA X2 is powered by X Square's proprietary WALL-A operations model, an embodied intelligence AI system that autonomously perceives, plans, and executes complex tasks across diverse real-world environments. The robot utilizes multi-sensor fusion including LiDAR, IMU, and ultrasonic sensors for mapping and navigation in homes, public venues, research labs, and logistics hubs.
At approximately $80,000, QUANTA X2 can attach mop heads for 360-degree cleaning and features hands capable of perceiving subtle pressure changes, moving toward more human-like functionality. The Shenzhen-based company, founded to challenge leaders like Figure AI and Boston Dynamics, demonstrates how significant funding enables Chinese startups to rapidly develop competitive humanoid platforms.
