Agile Robots SE's Agile ONE represents Germany's serious entry into industrial humanoid robotics, launched November 19, 2025, by the Munich-based company spun off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR). With over 2,500 employees and €200 million in 2024 revenue, Agile Robots brings substantial resources to humanoid development.
Standing 174 cm tall and weighing 69 kg, Agile ONE carries 20 kg payloads while moving at 2 m/s, roughly brisk human walking pace. The hands feature fingertip and force-torque sensors in every joint, enabling both delicate and powerful tasks with precision, stability, and adaptability. Motors, actuators, and control systems were designed entirely in Germany.
Agile Robots' AI model trains on one of Europe's largest real-world industrial datasets combined with simulated and human-collected data. A layered AI architecture divides cognition into strategic reasoning, rapid response, and fine motor precision. The user interface includes responsive eye rings that confirm understanding, proximity sensors, rearview camera for safety, and a chest display with real-time information.
Agile ONE targets material gathering, pick-and-place, machine tending, and fine manipulation. Manufacturing begins in Bavaria in early 2026, marking Europe's largest humanoid production effort. The company invests over €80 million annually in German R&D, positioning Agile ONE as the continent's answer to American and Asian humanoid platforms.
