Astribot S1 is designed for home assistance with focus on delicate manipulation tasks. Demonstrated cooking, cleaning, and household organization.
Astribot's S1 from Shenzhen-based Stardust Intelligence (founded 2022) captured global attention through viral videos demonstrating jaw-dropping manipulation speed, pulling tablecloths from under wine glasses, flipping food in pans, shaving vegetables, and performing calligraphy with 0.03mm precision. Standing 165 cm tall and weighing 58 kg, the S1 achieves movements at 10 meters per second (22 mph).
The S1 features 36 total degrees of freedom with 7-DOF bio-inspired arms capable of 10 kg payload each. High-torque, low-noise servo actuators enable the fluid, human-like motion quality that distinguishes S1 from jerkier competitors. Dual-digit grippers with force-control technology ensure safe and precise operations across diverse manipulation tasks.
Advanced AI processing delivers 2.5 PFLOPS of compute power. The sensor suite includes 3D LiDAR, depth cameras, IMU sensors, and pressure sensors in hands and feet for comprehensive proprioception. Imitation learning is key to S1's capabilities, through observing and replicating human demonstrations in a data-driven manner, it cultivates instinctive mastery of complex motion repertoires.
The S1 learns tasks at 1x human speed without slow-motion training, dramatically accelerating skill acquisition compared to pure reinforcement learning approaches. Walking speed reaches 4 km/h for mobility between workstations. Stardust Intelligence's focus on manipulation quality over locomotion reflects a strategic choice to excel in dexterous tasks, household assistance, elderly care, and light industrial applications where smooth, precise arm movements matter more than athletic leg performance.
