About Tian Yi 2.0

The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center's Tiangong 2.0 (also known as Tian Yi 2.0) builds on the original Tiangong. The world's first fully electric humanoid robot capable of running, which won the world's first humanoid robot half marathon in April 2025. The second-generation platform transitions from 'fastest to most useful' with industrial-grade capabilities.

The original Tiangong stands 163 cm tall and weighs 43 kg, equipped with 550 TOPS of computing power. Its sensor suite includes RGB cameras, stereo cameras, LiDAR, ultrasonic rangefinder, high-precision IMU, gyroscope, and six-axis force/torque sensors. The robot achieves an average running speed of 10 km/h with a maximum of 12 km/h.

Tiangong 2.0 features upgraded integrated joints supporting body weight over 45 kg while maintaining precise, flexible motion control. A world-first dual-battery hot-swapping system allows battery changes while powered on, achieving industrial-grade perpetual operation capabilities. The refined design features a smooth white and black exterior with a visor-style head, eliminating the exposed mechanical joints of the first iteration.

The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center (X-Humanoid) open-sourced the original Tiangong design, inviting developers worldwide to advance human-robot collaboration. Four core innovations power Tiangong 2.0: the 'WU' Embodied World Model, industrial-grade upper limb load capacity, fully flexible lower limb system, and a world-leading edge-intelligent computing platform for real-time decision-making. Applications include commercial services, industrial automation, logistics, and special operations.
