Oversonic Robotics' RoBee stands as Italy's leading humanoid platform, achieving a major milestone through partnership with STMicroelectronics to deploy customized robots in semiconductor factories globally. The first humanoid deployment in the chip industry. Founded in 2020, Oversonic employs 65 professionals including 30 specialized engineers.
RoBee comes in two series: the industrial R series standing up to 200 cm and weighing 120-180 kg for factory applications, and the healthcare M series at 175 cm and 80 kg for hospital environments. Both feature 40 moving joints, depth camera-based navigation, and eight-hour battery autonomy operating in temperatures from 5° to 50°C.
The cognitive platform combines AI-based perception, real-time decision-making, and multimodal interaction for advanced manufacturing tasks. RoBee replicates human movements through bimanual manipulation, handling repetitive, tiring, or dangerous tasks. The robot is the only humanoid certified for both industrial and healthcare sectors.
