1X EVE

1X Technologies' EVE established the Norwegian company's presence in humanoid robotics before the NEO series, targeting security, logistics, and healthcare applications. Deployed in customer facilities since 2022, EVE validated 1X's approach to safe, practical humanoid operation.

Standing 188 cm tall and weighing 87 kg, EVE features 25 degrees of freedom: seven per arm, six in the leg assembly, and one each in neck, hands, and wheels. Proprietary Revo1 quasi direct-drive technology combines high torque and precision with low friction. The wheeled design enables 9 mph movement while carrying 33 pounds, with six hours of runtime from a 1.05 kWh battery.

Intel i7 processors handle real-time control while NVIDIA Xavier modules run AI inference. High-resolution HDR cameras provide panoramic views and depth perception for autonomous navigation. The design prioritizes safety through soft, organically-inspired mechanics with reduced actuator inertia for safe human interaction.

EVE's deployment experience directly informed NEO development. Lessons learned about reliability, human interaction, and operational requirements translated into the bipedal NEO platform designed for home environments. EVE continues serving security and logistics roles where wheeled mobility suits the application, demonstrating that 1X builds robots for deployment rather than demonstration alone.
