About Mirokaï

Enchanted Tools' Mirokaï brings whimsy to humanoid robotics through its distinctive ball-bot design and expressive character, created by a French team with roots in Aldebaran's Nao and Pepper robots. Founded in 2021 by Jérôme Monceaux and Samuel Benveniste, the Paris-based company raised €17 million in seed funding. The largest early-stage robotics investment in French history.

Mirokaï stands 123 cm tall and weighs 28 kg, featuring 26 degrees of freedom distributed across neck (3 DOF), dual arms (4 DOF each), hands (2 DOF each), ears (1 DOF each), wrists (3 DOF each), and a patented 3-DOF ball mobile base. This omnidirectional ball platform enables smooth navigation through human environments like hotels, airports, and restaurants in spaces where the robot's approachable design matters.

The sensor suite includes 2 RGBD cameras, 2 infrared cameras, 9 time-of-flight cameras, 6 ultrasound sensors, 4 microphones, 8 torque sensors, and 3 IMUs. Mirokaï carries 1.5 kg per hand and pulls up to 15 kg, with high-speed torque-controlled actuators achieving 97% grasping success. A four-hour battery enables full-shift operation.

Multi-LLM integration enables fluid, context-aware conversations with real-time speech recognition and multilingual capability. GDPR-compliant face tracking enables appropriate social interaction. At $30,000 per unit, Enchanted Tools pursues accessibility over premium positioning. The company delivered approximately 50 robots through a pilot production line in 2024, proving that European humanoid robotics can compete through distinctive design rather than mimicking larger competitors.
