About Jaka K1

JAKA Robotics' K-1 represents the first humanoid dual-armed robot from a domestic Chinese collaborative robot manufacturer, unveiled as a prototype at the 2024 China International Industry Fair (CIIF) in Shanghai. Standing 1.8 meters tall, the K-1 features 29 movable joints with an exceptional 14 degrees of freedom in each arm using a 7-axis anthropomorphic configuration.

The K-1 is designed without legs, focusing entirely on bi-manual dexterity and manipulation capabilities. A six-dimensional force control system allows the robot to sense pressure from multiple directions, forward, up, down, and rotational, reacting in real-time to avoid excessive force. This makes the K-1 particularly suited for delicate and complex tasks requiring extreme precision.

The sensor suite includes depth cameras and touch sensors enabling advanced environmental perception and fine manipulation. AI-driven control and force feedback algorithms combined with machine learning enable continuous environment adaptation. Onboard AI processors run sensor fusion, force control, and real-time decision-making.

Founded in 2014, JAKA Robotics is headquartered in Shanghai with production bases in Changzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, and an EU hub in Germany, serving over 2,000 customers across more than 100 countries. Target applications for the K-1 include electronics manufacturing (precise assembly of small components), healthcare and surgical assistance, industrial automation requiring fine motor skills, and robotics R&D. The K-1 leverages JAKA's decade of collaborative robot expertise for humanoid development.
