Adaptable humanoid for research and applied contexts with coordinated dual-arm operation for object interaction and tool use.
Lanxin Robotics' VersaBot VB-1, unveiled at the 2024 World Robot Conference, is described as the world's first 'pure' vision-based humanoid robot, integrating multi-dimensional perception, dynamic decision-making, and autonomous learning capabilities designed to redefine intelligent upgrades in the manufacturing industry.
Lanxin, headquartered at China Artificial Intelligence Town in Hangzhou, is a global leader in mobile robots and integrated smart logistics solutions, specializing in 3D visual perception technology. VersaBot's 3D Pure Vision Navigation uses an RGB-D camera to intelligently capture natural environmental features, converting depth images into point cloud maps without manual markers. The system offers a 270°×70° wide field of view, 1608×280 high resolution, 10 fps frame rate, and 30-meter sensing range.
For precision manipulation, a high-precision dual-lens RGB-D and depth multimodal camera mounted on VersaBot's chest provides 300-600 mm distance measurement with 110°×90° field of view. Recognition accuracy reaches ±0.1 mm at 350 mm distance, powered by 6 TOPS of onboard computing for high-precision object positioning.
VersaBot features 360° Visual Obstacle Avoidance with four surrounding cameras capable of detecting black and high-reflective objects within 0.2-4 meters. Advanced semantic recognition algorithms provide obstacle information including distance and object names, intelligently distinguishing between dynamic and static obstacles to switch between stop and bypass strategies. The self-developed core controller, optimized with vast industrial mobile robot data, ensures reliable operations with superior task execution algorithms.
