Lanxin Robotics' VB1-I represents an improved iteration of the VersaBot platform, building on the 'pure vision' navigation technology that distinguished the original VB-1 at the 2024 World Robot Conference. The '-I' designation reflects targeted improvements identified through deployment experience and customer feedback.
The VB1-I enhances the core vision capabilities that define Lanxin's approach: 3D Pure Vision Navigation using RGB-D cameras to capture natural environmental features and convert depth images to point cloud maps without manual markers. Improvements target manipulation precision through the dual-lens chest-mounted camera system achieving ±0.1 mm recognition accuracy at 350 mm distance.
Lanxin's 360° Visual Obstacle Avoidance system, four cameras detecting black and high-reflective objects within 0.2-4 meters, receives algorithmic refinements in the VB1-I for improved dynamic/static obstacle classification and smoother bypass strategies. The self-developed core controller, optimized with industrial mobile robot deployment data, provides the foundation for these improvements.
As a global leader in mobile robots and smart logistics solutions headquartered in Hangzhou's China Artificial Intelligence Town, Lanxin iterates rapidly based on real-world deployment feedback. The VB1-I maintains compatibility with existing customer integrations while delivering meaningful capability improvements, reflecting Lanxin's philosophy of continuous practical enhancement over specification-driven redesigns.
